FMUX/M-E1 is a modem for transmission of a E1 channel
(2048 kbps, compliance with ITU-T G.703 and G.704 Recommendations) over a fiber optic link.
Unframed (transparent) mode of operation is also available.
FMUX/M-E1 is optically compatible with multiplexers of
Cronyx FMUX family, so these devices may be
used together in ring mode of operation.
Device has
metal Mini box enclosure.
FMUX has LEDs for indication of state of the device, state of fiber optic link transceivers,
state of E1 port and of test mode.
Simple configuration of the device (limited to timeslot assignment for the E1 channel
transmission) is set by DIP switches located on front panel of the device.
Both detailed configuration and full monitoring of the device's operation
are available from the console (ASCII terminal attached to the device by RS-232 interface).
Optional SNMP-based management is also available.
Internal loopbacks and embedded BER tester operation are controllable from console.
BER tester meters bit error rate in optic link using permanent or pseudo random code
in compliance with the ITU-T O.151 Recommendation
(test sequence length equals to 223-1=8388607 bits).
Remote device management is available by remote login feature. Service data exchange
is supported by additional service channel using same optic link
(available in point-to-point configuration only).
FMUX/M-E1 has
metal Mini enclosure,
and may be ordered with different optical transceiver options.
Currently available models are listed in Prices. Please, contact technical support if you are unsure which model to choose.
